Carp Tackle Lead Pallatrax Stonze Lead
I have been using stonze leads for at least 2-3 years with good results. The stonze have given me confidence as the rest of my terminal tackle has, the stonze has put the icing on the cake on my end tackle. To get the best out of the stonze lead is to try and find out the make up of the lake-bed (topography). You can do this with a gripper lead or a ball lead as these will dunk on gravel and vibrate and bump as you retrieve the best tools are a marker rod big pit reel and some fox marker braid. The make up could be sand, gravel, silt, or clay I think they come into their own on gravel. Especially the lighter colour stonze where the darker colour can be effectively used in a silt or chod situation. These stonze lead have one disadvantage; the shapes of these stonze are not to aerodynamic and not heavy as lead so distances castling will be reduced. If you want extra distance there is a lead called the Pallatrax boulder, which is a larger piece of rock coloured light or dark, which will put a few extra yards on your cast? If you want to camouflage event more leave then in lake water as to let algae grow on them or even glug them in flavour as rock or stone can be very porous. The stonze lead can be used for all types of fishing, I have had a good head of Carp to well over 30 pounds and barbell over 10 pounds. I have also used one piking once as the water was crystal clear and bagged a 20 pounder. So give em a go they’re a bit pricey but to have that edge and confidence it’s worth it.
