The bring your own tackle and brush up session:
This is for the carp anglers who hasn’t quite got the confidence in his or her own fishing and that can be quite insecurity on waters were there are a lot of anglers.
We are there to get your confidence in the sport so you can turn up at any water and enjoy your fishing and catch just or if not better than the other anglers. The angling we will teach you is.
Watercraft:
This is about finding the fish in different weather situations as the fish move around mostly to water temperatures and wind direction. Watercraft is the real key to being a successful Carp angler.
Basic float fishing:
This is for all you anglers who haven’t fished before, there are a lot of carp anglers who haven’t even cast a float out and had a good day catching smaller fish. You need this to appreciate the art of angling, and this is a solid base to a good introduction to carp fishing.
Fish care:
We will teach you how to handle your catch properly without harming them and get them back into the water quickly and as safely as possible. Fish care is paramount.
Feature finding:
You will be taught how to use a marker rod properly, this tool can be used to find depths of water and feel whether you are fishing on gravel weed or silt.
How to play the fish:
We will teach you how to handle the fish when it is hooked so you have less chance of loosing it and hopeflly causing as little damage to it's mouth as possible, and of course enjoy the scrap...
Casting:
To catch fish you need to be able to cast accurately to your quarry. It's no good with all the gear and no idea, we will teach you how to cast efficiently and accurately at short,medium and long range.
Tackle talk:
This is for everyone, we will run you thought the tackle and rigs you will be using. This will take about half an hour to an hour before you fish and this also includes looking at the fishery rules where ever we are fishing.
Bait application:
We will teach you how to bait up in different situations and what bait to use and the tools to bait up with like spods, catapults and throwing sticks.
Rig safety:
We will show you how to tie and use your rig components to the benefit of the fish, if you get broken off the fish wont be trailing a lead weight behind him that could get wedged in a snag and leave the poor fish teathered. This can result in death of the fish.
Health and safety:
We will give you a talk on does and dont's on the river or lakeside, this will be an insight into health and safety and general awareness.
Wildlife conservation:
We will tell you how to look after the wildlife and countryside around you.
End result:
After we have finished with you, you will be a more accomplished angler with a lot more knowledge of carp fishing and being able to put the knowledge into practice and your confidence in carp fishing will soar much higher than before so give it a go, we will look forward to meeting you and helping you with the ever growing sport of carp fishing.
