Carp Fishing in France
Carp fishing in France started for me back in the 80s with coach trips by Paul Regent being the most popular; I did book up to go but cancelled for a holiday with my Mrs, what a mug, if I had my time again I would go.
These trips were to the famous lake cassien, my friends who went there did well, Ritchie McDonald caught a 67lb Mirror Carp from Cassien before I got to know him, that was a big fish from that water, I think it was the record at that time.
Now there is lots of places to fish in France the list is endless,
I’ve done a couple of days on public waters around the Bergerac area, catching a few high doubles on the one lake at camp segret. I also fished a lake south at perigeux and had one and lost one a very big fish.
I haven’t had much time to go to France over the years to fish only to take a holiday, but try to fish if possible, I am determined to make more time in the future to go carp fishing in France, you will be find it more in the future on my website.
