Carp fishing in the USA is becoming more and more popular with growing media attention, with competitions being held all over the United States of America it just proves what a popular sport fish the carp is becoming in this country.
Did you know the Texas carp challenge gave the largest payout in the history of Angling? With a payout of $250.000,Competitors for these carp fishing competitions are travelling from all over the globe so it must be becoming a worldwide sport.
Like the English carp society there is now also an American carp society link, which formed as a service to all rod and line carp anglers in the USA, there is also C.A.G Carp Anglers Group which organizes events like the annual Chicago carp classic, the ST Lawrence International Junior Carp Tournament, the C.A.G was started in 1993 with a group of 30 or so anglers and has grown and grown; it is a non-profit organization.
I will be going to the states in the future so I will be finding out a lot more info plus there will be a photo gallery, I am looking forward to going there in the near future, as I haven’t been there yet.
