Carp Fishing Rig Tube

Carp Fishing with Rig Tube is a very good anti-tangle method but doesn't pin hard down to the bottom of the lake.

I like to use at least 2ft of tubing for when I'm playing a carp to the net. When the fish turns mono braid or 2 cores can get caught up on the carp’s body causing scale loss cuts and abrasion where the rig tube is not abrasive.

To pin this rig tube to the bottom I like to use it in conjunction with lead core.
To do this you need to put on a lead core leader of about 4ft then 2ft of tubing over the top this will keep the tubing pinned down, this is essential in your swim as carp will spook on the feel of this stuff. It is also good to camouflage the tubing; I do this by using a black marker, as most tubing is green.

Never make your hooklink longer than your tubing as your rig will loose its anti-tangle properties. I sometimes PVA my hook bait to the tubing when fishing supple hook links, these can tangle easily especially in long range fishing and high winds.
I bet you think, why fish your bait against the tubing? but it doesn't work like that, once the PVA has melted you can pull back on the lead to straighten up your whole rig this obviously works better on gravel than silt.
